Description
this works:
ssh to box, $ startx -e mplayer spincake.avi
Once X has shut down:
ssh to box, $ startx
This will crash,
ssh to box, $ DISPLAY=:0 mplayer spincake.avi
But a 2nd attempt it will work.
after that it seems random. about 1 in 3 crash. Just hitting up arrow, enter,
wait for clip to end or crash, repeate. very strange.
each time mplayer errors, this gets dumped to the terminal I ran startx:
