Skipping forward in h.264 movie stops working 65% through playback

Description
I'm using SVN MPlayer on Ubuntu Jaunty. I'm creating a h.264 MP4 with MPlayer from mlb.tv that I'm playing back with MPlayer. The issue has persisted across the last several weeks of builds, with the most recent checked out and built last night.
Compiling from SVN has enabled flawless playback and I very much appreciate the work you've all done.
However, when skipping forward during game breaks, I've found that skipping forward will eventually stop working about 65% of the way through a ~3 hour file. Trying to skip forward (either several seconds or one minute) will result in skipping back a second or two.
I can try provide output/logs/testing as necessary, so please feel free to request info as needed.
