Description
Hi everyone!
I'm trying to decode Ahead-MPEG4-AVC with aac in .mp4-container with latest
mplayer-cvs and libavcodec-cvs and I have some problems with interleaved files.
When I play them from my hd with -nocache option everything is fine but when I
play them from a DVD-drive with -cache 7500 playback after seeking is slow and
very choppy.
I made sure that my files are ISMA 1.0-conform. Interleaving is 500ms.
Hope this helps.

Playback from HD with -cache 7500 gives me slowmotion playback after ~5 minutes
or after seeking. Playback from Cd with -nocache is fine but thats not what
interleaving is meant for and problematic esp. if people have a slow Cdrom drive
; ).
All my clips were made with nero recode-avc with cabac-coding and weighted
prediction on as well as 4 bframes, then muxed with HE-AAC using MP4BOX, which
was also used to make the files ISMA-compatible and also for the 500ms
interleaving....
Hope this helps....

Don't think so, MPlayer reads interleaved files always sequentially afaik.

500ms sounds rather extreme to me. I seem to remember that for avis the usual
value is 50ms.

Well, the VirtualDub-helpfile says 500ms-1s are usual for avis, the GPAC-Page
says the same thing for .mp4s....

No, my Cd-drive is running all the time when I play with -nocache....
And how about on hd with -cache 7500 and on DVD with -nocache? At least a -v log
is always needed, uploading a sample would be very helpful.
