Summary of the bug:

mplayer build with ncurses-6.0 crashes on startup:

mplayer % gdb --args ./mplayer

(gdb) run
...
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Summary: segfault with ncurses-6.0segfault when build with gold linker

Actually it is a linker bug. gold is responsible for the crash.

Closing as it is not an MPlayer bug and it AFAICS has been fixed in gold.
