Platform windows xp sp1. Mplayer will pay from an ISO image of a DVD ripped by
dvd decrypter and mounted on a virtual dvd drive by daemon tools. Mencode will
not transcode the image. Mencode just hangs. No errors.

This is far too little information to reproduce the problem. Probably the
solution is to pass the -dvd-device option.
